Faro Barcelona at Paris Design Week 2024: a cosmic and sustainable experience

17 Sep 2024

This edition of Paris Design Week, Faro Barcelona made an impact at the WHAT’S NEW? IN DECOR exhibition, a cosmic odyssey curated by Elizabeth Leriche that took us to a dreamlike and surreal universe. In this fascinating setting, we presented the Tierra collection, designed by Héctor Serrano, which stands out for its commitment to sustainability and its innovative use of biodegradable materials.

Tierra: A Sculptural Piece that Illuminates with Warmth

The Tierra lamp, from our Tierra, Mar y Aire collection, is much more than a simple light source. It is a reflection of conscious design and respect for the environment. Made through 3D printing with recycled bioplastics from PLA and cellulose, Tierra represents the perfect symbiosis between technology and nature. Inspired by the intricate structure of beehives, this lamp reminds us of the importance of pollination for biodiversity.

With a matte texture and a translucency that comes to life when lit, Tierra becomes a sculptural piece that adds warmth and personality to this dreamlike setting. Its soft and organic shapes evoke the artisanal delicacy of materials such as paper or terracotta, allowing this lamp to adapt to multiple settings and architectural needs.
