Faro Barcelona celebrates its 75th anniversary with the MUTAR group exhibition

MUTAR, the group exhibition organized by Faro Barcelona, offers a reflection on transformation and adaptation to new paradigms through the interpretation made by different artists of the VENICE lamp, designed by Adolfo Abejón. The exhibition, which was available until February 19 at the showroom at Calle Princesa 52 in Barcelona, features artists from different disciplines who experiment and intervene on the surface of the lamp, transforming it and giving it other meanings.

The skin as a limit and the different ways of adapting to change are some of the concepts addressed in this group exhibition, which is presented as a metaphor for the need to evolve and transcend. Each of the works of the participating artists - ROMEL, Luca Hugo Burcculeri, Ro Ledesma, Gabriel Sciutto, Marina Milá, The Platera, and Mikel Pascal - represents the idea that nothing is permanent, everything fluctuates, changes, and evolves. The VENICE lamp functions as a narrative thread between all the works, creating a space for reflection and connection. The curatorship of the space proposed by Faro Barcelona promotes a collaborative vision, where all the proposals interconnect, impact, alter and complement each other. The pieces are presented as acts of connection, threads that emerge and weave new relationships.

MUTAR invites visitors to reflect on the need to adapt and transform to leave a mark. The exhibition is an opportunity to discover the different techniques used by artists, such as illustration, sculpture, and craftsmanship, to interpret and transform the lamp.

The collaboration with Montana Colors, a renowned brand of paints and sprays for the world of urban art and contemporary visual culture, brings added value to the group exhibition MUTAR, which fuses different artistic currents and approaches transformation from different perspectives.

En definitiva, MUTAR es una oportunidad para sumergirse en una reflexión sobre la transformación y la adaptación a los cambios. MUTAR es trascender, evolucionar, dejar huella

In short, MUTAR is an opportunity to immerse oneself in a reflection on transformation and adaptation to change. MUTAR is to transcend, evolve, to leave a mark
