At the beginning of August from Faro Barcelona we launched our products in BIMobject. After a few months of testing we have accumulated more than 115,000 downloads with an average of more than 1,000 per day.
These results have certainly exceeded our expectations and we are very happy to have achieved them.

BIM or Building Information Modelling is a 3D digital construction process in which information about every component of the project is managed and shared by the entire construction team throughout the life cycle of the building.
BIM provides accurate information about the physical and functional components of a model. This makes it much easier for the professionals involved in planning, design and construction.

When a professional downloads your BIM files, your products are more likely to be part of their project. And, according to DBEI.org, 80% of product prescriptions are based on the design, so there is a higher likelihood of purchase.

In 2016, we detected the strength with which the BIM methodology was beginning to be implemented worldwide.
We saw that it would be a disruption in the world of construction, and so it has been! As our Digitalization Director, David Cortés, said in an interview for BIM:

At Faro Barcelona we didn't want to miss the opportunity to reach the thousands of professionals who visit BIMobject every day. We consider BIMobject to be a reference tool for this professional public, so as a brand we knew that this was our place.
One of our most important tasks as lighting manufacturers is to be demanding when manufacturing our products. That is why we are just as demanding when it comes to generating our BIM objects, not only with regard to the design, but also by adding value with as much lighting information as possible, as well as photometrics that can help visualise how the light will be projected from the very beginning of the project.
A challenge that we have more than met and on which we continue to work in order to always offer professionals tools to facilitate their work.
