Until 9 December, our showroom in Barcelona (carrer Princesa, 52) becomes a space where light and art engage in a unique dialogue. ART MEETS LIGHT is a collaboration with artist Mariona Espinet, who explores the boundaries of form, color and matter through her sculptural series Tótems.
Mariona Espinet works from an intimate perspective, where each piece acts as a personal landscape. Her practice is based on the idea that spaces, real or imagined, reveal who we are. Through refined geometries, textures and chromatic variations, she creates works that invite introspection and contemplation.
The series Tótems, the focus of this exhibition, brings together small architectures that play with the layering of planes and essential volumes. Each sculpture finds its balance between stability and visual dynamism, between order and rhythm. Color becomes a structure that gives identity to each piece, and light acts as a transformative agent that strikes, reveals, projects and expands. The shadows that emerge alter the experience of space and allow the essential to transform before our eyes.
The exhibition opened on 20 November at an event with Mariona Espinet herself, who shared with interior designers, creatives and design‑lovers the process behind her works. An afternoon to celebrate art and its connection with light.
