At Faro Barcelona we are committed to social initiatives, a clear example of which is the latest action carried out with the NGO Hola Vecinas where we donated some luminaires to illuminate the study area for children in the Lavapiés neighbourhood of Madrid.
It all started when, at the beginning of the school year, Erico Navazo contacted us to tell us that he was collaborating with the NGO and that they needed good lighting to be able to give classes in optimum conditions. From Faro Barcelona we didn't hesitate for a second, and we donated 20 red retro lamps with the bulb.
Who are Hola Vecinas?
Hola Vecinas is a neighbourhood project in the Lavapiés neighbourhood in Madrid that aims to help families in the neighbourhood with few resources.
As a result of COVID-19, in the face of the health emergency situation, 4 women collaborated as volunteers in different food banks. This is how they met and how the mission to help all those who find themselves in a situation of vulnerability was born.
This initiative organizes activities aimed at integrating groups at risk of exclusion and reducing the digital divide for children in the neighbourhood.
We are very proud to have been able to do our bit by donating these luminaires.
