Pizzeria Combà, a sensory journey through the most authentic Puglia by Roberta Coppi Design

Pizzeria Combà, designed by Coppi Roberta, is a place that combines rustic style with the warmth of contemporary chic, inspired by the Apulian countryside, in the southeast of Italy. That was the starting point: a land that speaks of tradition, nature, and authenticity.

The project was built around natural and reclaimed materials. The shelves and entrance handles are made from olive wood affected by Xylella, a bacteria that causes the decline of the olive tree. This way, new life is given to something that was at risk of being lost. A symbolic gesture, but also deeply ethical.

Throughout the pizzeria, warm earthy tones contrast with deep greens reminiscent of olive groves. The woven straw wall behind the bench, the structure with preserved plants, and the handcrafted lamps made from Apulian baskets hung from old hoes: each element has a story, a visual and emotional connection to Apulia.

In this context, the Costas lighting collection integrates naturally throughout the space. In hanging format, it provides warm, intimate light over the tables; in ceiling-mounted version, it offers functional lighting without disrupting the visual harmony. Here, Costas is not only a functional lighting solution but also its rattan shade reinforces the artisanal aesthetic of the space, adding decorative value that perfectly aligns with the natural aesthetic of the environment.

Pizzeria Combà is a sensory journey through the most authentic Puglia, reinterpreted in a modern way. It is the result of ongoing dialogue with the client, research, and love for detail.
