CAT by Faro Barcelona lights La Guingueta de l’Escribà

La Guingueta de l’Escribà is a beach bar located in Bogatell beach, Barclona. GE Interioriormo has overseen this project with a tropical decoration.

The bar offers a range of bright colors, cheerful and cool, perfect to enjoy its kitchen next to the sea.

The furniture and the illumination are rustic and made of materials like wood and wicker, fact that reinforces the warmth of the place and allows the visitors to feel comfortable.

For the general lighting lamps with the same materials have been used, whereas for the perimeter lighting of the beach bar, you will find the portable lamps CAT.

CAT is a Nahtrang design for the lighting firm Faro Barcelona. It is inspired on the 50’s cartoon geometric shapes and its body also reminds of the lamps of ancient boats.

This lighting allows to reinforce the general one and gives a modern touch to the place. A good job by GE Interios Design that have known how to capture the essence of La Guinguita de l’Escribà.

LINDA and BERNI illuminate the Hotel Granada Palace 4 *

The Hotel Granada Palace has just presented its new lighting thanks to Distribuciones Nevadis. To illuminate the hall of the hotel, LINDA by Estudi Ribaudí will bring highlights to this common space.

These luminaires serve to give warmth, thus they are located on the side of each chair, providing a comfortable feeling, as if you were in the living room of your home.

The white finishing of this table matches perfectly with the cream-colored leather armchairs in the hotel lobby.

And if something is known a hotel is for its rooms. The whole hotel has the mosaics that make Granada unique and in this case we also find them in the rooms.

At the head of the bed we find the BERNI wall lamp with reader. This Nahtrang design allows to create an ambient light thanks to its fabric screen and also to use it as a reading light.

The fixture fits perfectly with the wood of the floor and the furniture, and the white screen gives a sense of light to the whole, even if the luminary is not lit.

The Granada Palace 4 * hotel is located on Diego de Siloé street, in Monachil, Granada, Spain.

Lights and Shadows, an event full of light

Last Thursday, February 22nd, Faro Barcelona presented its novelties for 2018 at the Brooklyn Loft (Consell de Cent 401, Barcelona).

In the morning an exclusive press pass was made and Mar Lopez and Rosa Bertrán, from the Product Development team, gave an introduction to the 4 main trends that Faro has followed to launch its novelties.

In the afternoon it was the turn of the interior designers, architects and clients who wanted to get closer and enjoy both the news and the music.

After a speech by Xavi Martin, CEO of Grupo Faro, the Product team again informed of what they had been inspired by and some design anecdotes.

Many of the studios with which Faro Barcelona collaborates, such as Alex & Manel Lluscà, Estudi Ribaudí, Lúcid, Nahtrang and Oiko Design, among others, were present and were able to confirm the fun stories behind our designs.

The 2018 collection was divided into 4 major trends. We went out! It was an ode to the terrace, to enjoy the outdoors and showed our commitment to outdoor lighting. BRONX and FLOW are incorporated into BU-OH and CAT in our offer to illuminate terraces and gardens.

If you call me I´ll come… that’s what our portable lamps say. One of the trends of this 2018 is to be able to use your lamps and light up wherever you go. As a scoop TAKE AWAY by Nahtrang, HOSHI by xJeR Studio and JELYYFISH portable, which Faro will formally present at Light & Building, were present.

Inspired by naturalism, our collections presented a natural cherry wood screens composed of two families: STOOD by Lúcid and LOOP by Estudi Ribaudí that completed the corner titled “Go for the branches.”

And as we care about nature, there was also a special mention to our ecological lamp with more hook. OiKo Design’s HOOK is made with recycled plastic and for each one, a child is fed in Liberia.

For those who wanted to disconnect a bit, our “Shhh” corner … allowed charging the phone in our desktop lamp NIKO while enjoying the sound insulation of MUTE.

Finally, after going through the different corners, the music grew in volume and the attendees shared conversations, toasts and smiles.

Faro Barcelona conquered Euroluce with its new lamps: STOOD and MINE

For the fourth consecutive year, Faro Barcelona participated in the Euroluce lighting fair, a biannual event held in Milan, from April 4th to April 9th. For this occasion, the lighting firm presented, exclusively, three new models: STOOD, DOLME and STAND UP.

stand_faro_barcelona_euroluce_2017 “The stand was cozy and spacious, visitors felt comfortable, which made the work of the sellers much easier”, said Jennifer Nieto, Marketing Manager for Faro Barcelona.

One of the lamps that caught more attention was MINE SPACE by Nahtrang, due to the vast number of possibilities it offers due to the fact that the number of lights is customizable. Another successful model was STOOD.

This lamp family designed by LÚCID is characterized by wooden shades, a feature that provides warmth to the room and adds originality to the ensemble. “The number of international attendants that seized the opportunity to learn about our novelties and come to say hello was amazing. They were mainly architects, decorators and distributors. We are very happy for having participated in Euroluce”, said Salvador Martí, Commercial Director of Faro Group.

In addition, Faro Barcelona took the opportunity to present, exclusively, two new design families: DOLME and STAND UP. A minimalistic and useful design for illuminating homes or contract spaces such as hotels and restaurants.

HOOK, designed by OiKo Design Office under strict eco-design protocols, was one of the most popular lamps. The portable lamp drew attention in because of its versatility and its accessories. It was normal to see visitors picking it up, moving it around and testing it.

hook_by_oiko_design_office Regarding outdoor lighting, HUE by Nahtrang, especially its floor lamp model, was one of the most requested lamps at commercial level. Its wide diffusor provides homogeneous lighting, especially envisioned for gardens and decks.

The launch of THE COLLECTION catalogue coincided with Faro’s participation in Euroluce. This new edition was praised by attendees and is an example of Faro Barcelona’s intention to pursue “simple but ingenious” designs.

Faro Barcelona attended the biennial fair Light+Building for the fourth time. This time, the company decided to exclusively show its two newest designs. We also wanted to show two recent creations at the main world fair for lighting technology and construction services. light+building2016 A serene white space was the perfect setting to talk about design, new creations and LED technology. “We had a high turnout of both clients and new contacts who were not familiar with us,” said Vincent Baroni, Export Manager France, Faro Barcelona’s representative at Light+Building. Visitors showed special interest in the PLANET hanging lamp, the SUAU wall light, the 12 light RETRO and the MINI ETERFAN and DISC fans. 1968 and Mine lamp However, Jordi Busquets’ 1968 table lamp aroused much admiration. This lamp is made in Spain. It has a wooden body, hand crafted finishes, textile screen and warm light LED technology. MINE did not lag behind. This Nahtrang design with wooden legs and a wide diffuser was chosen by many attendees who were looking for a very warm element to provide the right atmospheric lighting. During the fair, Faro Barcelona also presented new creations from its technical line. New technology for food and the e-Blue system (Bluetooth controlled) aroused the curiosity of interior designers and designers with regard to lighting contract spaces. Ultimately, our participation at Light+Building was very positive. Not only were our products well received, but we were also able to get feedback first hand from users and talk to new clients.
